George H. Rountree

Overview And Experience

George Rountree’s diverse legal practice focuses primarily on the areas of commercial litigation, construction litigation, insurance litigation, personal injury, eminent domain, and business transactions. He has been a member of Brown Rountree since 2000. Prior to joining the firm, he practiced construction law in Atlanta.

A native of Emanuel County, Georgia, George earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science degree from Georgia Southern University.

George graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law where he was a member of the editorial board of the Journal of International and Comparative Law and president of the Georgia League, which publishes an annual journal of Georgia law. He has published articles in the Georgia League Report and the Journal of International and Comparative Law. He is active in community and civic affairs in the Statesboro area. George and family are active members at Statesboro Worship where he  serves as Chairman of the Board of Statesboro Worship. He is also a Board Member of the Boys and Girls Club.

George is admitted to practice in all courts in Georgia. George’s clients include banks, financial institutions, manufactures, local governments, construction companies, hospitals, physicians, retail establishments, agribusinesses, and individuals.
